Services Offered At Shenandoah Lasik & Cataracts Center

At Shenandoah LASIK & Cataracts center, we offer a comprehensive amount of services that can provide comfort and support for whatever is ailing you. Dr. John Stefano and the rest of his staff put you the patient as the priority.

iLASIK

The iLASIK procedure is one of the safest Eye Surgery procedures in the world to date. It is an FDA approved wavefront-guided blade-free vision correction procedure that helps patients achieve 20/20 vision.

Cataract Surgery

cataract is a common condition that causes a clouding of the eye’s natural lens, and affects millions of people each year, including more than half of all Americans over the age of 65.

“Good experience both eyes, cataract removed by laser and new lens”

- Tevis S.

Refractive Lens Implant Surgery

Refractive Lens Implant Surgery is usually recommended to patients over 55 who are not candidates for LASIK. Using methods similar to those in cataract surgery, a ReSTOR® intraocular lens is implanted in place of the eye’s natural lens.

“Had refractory surgery done on both eyes after wearing contacts and glasses for more than 30 years. The care was great, the procedure fantastic, and I am thrilled to have thrown away glasses and those contacts.Thank you to Dr. Stefano and his great staff for such wonderful care!”

- Kim S.

Premium Lens Implants

When a cataract-clouded lens is removed, it needs to be replaced by an artificial lens. These are called intraocular lenses (IOLs).

Advanced Surface Ablation

Advanced Surface Ablation (ASA) is ideal for patients whose corneas may be too thin to safely perform iLASIK or those patients who would have certain types or corneal irregularities.

Glaucoma Treatment

Glaucoma is a silent killer of eyesight, so to speak. Although it is the leading cause of blindness in Americans over age 60, in its early stages glaucoma presents few if any symptoms.

Diabetic Eye Care

it is very important for diabetic patients to have their eyes examined once a year. Diagnosing and treating eye disease early can prevent vision loss.

Dry Eye Treatment

Chronic Dry Eye, also known as Dry Eye Syndrome, is a medical condition that results from the eyes’ reduced ability to produce tears of the normal quantity or quality.

Macular Degeneration

Macular degeneration, also known as age-related macular degeneration (AMD), is a common condition in older adults and the leading cause of vision loss and blindness in people over the age of 65.

Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery

Ophthalmic plastic surgery, or oculoplastics, is a subspecialty of ophthalmology that deals with disorders of the eyelids, orbits (bones around the eyes), eyeball and lacrimal (tear) system.

Routine Eye Exams

Regular eye exams are an invaluable tool in maintaining your eyes’ health by detecting and preventing disease. Some diseases develop slowly without causing pain or vision loss. Early detection of any problems can reduce the risk of further harm and allow for a choice of treatment options.

Latisse®

Latisse is the first and only eyelash treatment approved by the FDA to help grow longer, fuller and darker eyelashes and treat hypotrichosis, a condition that includes having inadequate or not enough eyelashes.
